FAQ
Blossom Smart Wall Switch H1 Elite is an appearance upgrade version of the Smart Wall Switch H1. Both share the same network entry point and connection method, and are collectively referred to as "Smart Wall Switch H1".
Both are smart wall switches with similar main functions, but the former requires connecting both neutral wire and live wire, while the latter only needs the live wire for power. You need to choose according to your home's light fixture wiring situation.
Smart Wall Switch H1 is a product based on Zigbee wireless communication protocol that can control the power supply of devices such as lights and motors. When paired with a Hub, it can enable remote control of lights through the mobile app, set multiple groups of scheduled controls via the app, and work with other smart devices to achieve more linked control effects; the with neutral switch also has relay functionality and power monitoring features.
1) Make sure you've already added a supported Hub to Aqara Home
2) In the "Devices" section of the Aqara Home app, single press the + button in the upper right corner, select "Smart Wall Switch H1", follow the prompts to select the Hub you want to bind to, press and hold any button on the Smart Wall Switch H1 for more than 8 seconds until the blue light on the Smart Wall Switch H1 flashes quickly, then release. After adding, you can find the new device in the device list.
1) The wall switch connects to electrical wires, and its main purpose is to remotely and intelligently control the power supply to the connected circuit. If you want to convert a regular light to a smart light, a wall switch is necessary;
2) The Wireless Mini Switch is a "remote control" that can control devices like wall switches through the app settings, but it cannot directly control non-smart lights by itself.
1) If you want to achieve a good aligned installation effect, you need to purchase Aqara gang frames separately for aligned installation.
2) Smart Wall Switch H1 can be installed with products like Aqara Scene Panel S1, Scene Panel S1 to achieve a richer and more convenient smart control experience.
The wall switch will not work properly, with the indicator light staying solid red. It will return to normal once the correct matching switch panel or power module is installed.
Using the three-rocker with neutral version as an example:
There are 5 wiring terminals on the back: N, L, L3, L2, L1. N connects to the neutral wire, L terminal connects to the live wire, L1, L2, L3 connect to the 3 light fixture load wires; where L1 corresponds to the left button on the switch panel, L2 corresponds to the middle button, and L3 corresponds to the right button.
Using the three-rocker with neutral version as an example:_x000D_
Connect the live wire to the L terminal, connect the neutral wire to the N terminal, and connect the load wires of the lights to the L1, L2, or L3 terminals. Use a flat-blade screwdriver to pry open the slot on the switch cover, lift the panel, use the screws included with the product to fix the wall switch to the installation box or gang frame in the wall (gang frames need to be purchased separately), and then replace the switch panel.
The live wire is generally red, the neutral wire is generally black or blue, and the lamp load wire is generally green or yellow. It is recommended to have a professional electrician test with an electrical pen or other professional tools before installation.
If the load and neutral wires are reversed, the power indicator light may work normally, but when the relay is turned on, the switch will burn out. In other incorrect wiring situations, the wall switch may not work. Please strictly follow the wiring instructions and have a professional electrician perform the installation!
When there is a wall between Smart Wall Switch H1 and the Hub, the communication distance can reach 7-10 meters. If there are many walls, it is recommended to connect as close as possible.
The with neutral version has no minimum load requirement, but the maximum load across all channels should not exceed 2200W.
The no neutral version requires a minimum load of 3W, and the maximum load across all channels should not exceed 1600W.
1) If you use Smart Wall Switch H1 with a Wireless Mini Switch, you can easily implement dual control/multi-control functionality. The Wireless Mini Switch can be placed freely in most locations in your home to control the Smart Wall Switch H1.
2) If your home originally has a dual control setup (i.e., two traditional dual control switches), you can replace both traditional switches with two Smart Wall Switch H1s. Through setting the relay switch to Decoupled Switch Mode, you can use a single press to trigger automation for linked control.
It will be supported through OTA after market launch, with the specific launch time subject to the actual firmware release date.
When the Smart Wall Switch H1 (No neutral version) is connected to a light with power lower than the minimum power requirement, the light may flash intermittently when the switch is turned off. Additionally, while the Smart Wall Switch H1 (No neutral version) works well with mainstream brand light fixtures, for lesser-known brands or white-label manufacturers, issues such as light flickering or switch freezing may occur due to the internal circuit design and materials used in these fixtures. Users should choose carefully.
