As Apple’s long-time strategic partner in the smart home space, Apple announced its collaboration with Aqara to launch Matter-compatible products.
Aqara took the covers off of a range of new native Matter devices at CES 2024, including the Smart Lock U300 and Smart Lock U200, both are a Matter-over-Thread smart locks that features a multitude of unlocking options.
That means you can store a digital key in your Apple Wallet and unlock your door with either a tap of your iPhone or Apple Watch. Plus, with Apple’s Power Reserve feature, you can even open your door up to five hours after your phone or watch has run out of battery.
