You can use your mobile phone to turn on/off the home appliances connected with the Aqara Smart Plug. Also, you can set a timer for the home appliances to automatically turn on/off anytime and program automations and scenes to trigger based on Aqara sensors.
First, ensure that the Aqara Hub works normally. Then, open the Aqara Home app, select the “+” in the upper right corner. Enter "Accessories" page and choose the Aqara Smart Plug, then follow the instructions in the app.
If the external network is down, the app control function for Aqara Smart Plug will no longer be available. But the local control for the Aqara Smart Plug will not be affected and its connection with other smart devices will function normally.
The Aqara Smart Plug has a built-in socket protector to prevent accidental electrocution. The maximum load power of the Aqara Smart Plug is 2300W. When the connected appliance exceeds the maximum load power, the Aqara Smart Plug will automatically cut off the power to avoid any danger.
For safety reasons, when the Aqara Smart Plug powers off, the Aqara Smart Plug does not save settings. However, there is a “power-off memory” option in the app. By choosing this option, the Aqara Smart Plug settings will be restored to their previous status.
The maximum load power for the Aqara Smart Plug is 2300W. The maximum load voltage and current are 250V~ and 10A, respectively. Appliances with load power, voltage and current that do not exceed these maximums can be used with the Aqara Smart Plug.
For specific instructions, please refer to the "Effective Range Test” instructions in the operating manual. If the hub indicates "normal link confirmed" then it means the smart plug and hub are connected effectively. If there is no voice prompt, please move the smart plug closer to the hub and try again.
Please check if the Wi-Fi network and the power supply of the hub work properly. If they do work normally, please reset the Aqara Smart Plug and reconnect the smart plug according to instructions. If the connection is unsuccessful, please move the plug closer to the hub and try again.
